Set of 3 Ceramic Bauble Texture Forms
The 2026 Christmas Bauble Collection is the first in a planned annual series of Magpie bauble designs, created for making dimensional ceramic ornaments to bring out year after year.
The collection includes three different bauble shapes, each with two coordinating texture designs. One side features a framed central plaque ready for personalisation, while the coordinating reverse carries the ornamental pattern across the whole bauble.
Add names, initials, dates or short messages using your own letter stamps, carve or stamp your own details into the plaque, or simply leave it blank as part of the design.
And personalisation is completely optional. If you prefer an ornament patterned on both sides, simply use the fully patterned texture twice to make both halves of your bauble.
That gives you plenty of freedom to make each one differently — personalised family ornaments, dated keepsakes, handmade gifts, or simply a collection of beautifully patterned ceramic baubles.
Sizes:
Round Shape: 100mm wide, 115 high including the top
Long drop shape: 65mm wide, 130mm high
Wide drop: 110mm wide, 110mm high
Making a 3D bauble
Each bauble is designed to be made from two formed pieces of clay.
Texture your clay using your chosen designs, then form each piece into a shallow bowl shape. You can form them over a suitable mold or former, or gently shape them by hand.
Once the clay has firmed enough to handle, score, slip and join the two halves around the outside edge to create a hollow three-dimensional bauble. Refine the seam and add your preferred hanging method.
Remember to include an air hole before firing any enclosed ceramic form.
The textures don't have to be used as 3D baubles either. Each can be used independently as a large focal texture for flat ornaments, tiles, small dishes and other Christmas pieces.
Three designs, plenty of combinations
Each shape gives you the choice of:
- Personalised plaque front + fully patterned back
- Fully patterned design on both sides
- Either texture used independently on other ceramic work
The blank plaques also mean you aren't committed to Christmas wording. Add whatever makes sense for the person, year or occasion you are making for.
An annual Magpie collection
2026 is the first release in an annual Magpie Christmas Bauble series.
Each Christmas I'll release a new collection of bauble designs, adding new shapes and patterns that can be used alongside the ones you already own.

A dark residue may transfer to clay during the first few uses. This comes from the laser engraving process and will burn away completely during firing.
Care
Clean with mild soap and a soft brush when required. Allow to dry fully before storing flat.
