This heart-shaped focal accent is designed as a framing element rather than a filled motif. The outer vine pattern creates structure and detail, while the centre is intentionally solid to give you flexibility for layering, carving, or additional stamping.
At this scale, it works well on mugs, small trays, tiles, and feature areas on bowls or vases. It can be used as a single focal, or repeated across a set to create a consistent visual language.
Because the centre is flat and clear, it’s suitable for adding:
impressed text
small stamps
hand-carved marks
or leaving plain as a contrast to the patterned edge
How to use
Best used on soft clay.
Press evenly across the stamp to ensure the vine detail registers cleanly, especially around the inner curve of the heart. Peel the edges back toward the centre before lifting off completely.
If you’re working with fine detail, lightly dust the clay surface first — or use the stamp once so a small amount of residual clay builds up and helps with release on future impressions.
Works well as:
a mug focal with space for lettering or symbols
a framed centre on trays or tiles
a repeated motif across coordinated pieces (e.g. one heart per mug in a set)
Details
Laser-engraved EVA foam focal stamp.
Size: 8.5 x 9 cm
A dark residue may transfer to clay on first use. This is laser residue and will burn out completely during firing.
Care
Clean with mild soap and a soft brush.
Allow to dry fully before storing flat.
Designed as part of a system
Heart Frame is part of the Magpie Focal Accent range — a collection of standalone elements designed to layer seamlessly with Magpie full-sheet textures, feature panels, and dinnerware masks.
Use it on its own, pair it with a textured ground, or frame it using templates to repeat placement across sets such as mugs, bowls, vases, or serving ware.
