A generous 370 mm bowl/platter texture designed to create a statement serving piece for the Christmas table.
 
Holly, berries and ornamental baubles travel around the perimeter, with the baubles hanging from the outer edge towards the centre. When the clay is formed, the decoration follows the changing surface of the vessel, drawing the pattern down into the bowl or across the rim of a platter.
 
The undecorated centre leaves useful serving space and gives the detailed border room to stand out.
 
The texture can also be used on either side of your piece. Place it on the upper surface for a richly decorated serving bowl or platter, or use it on the underside and keep the food surface plain. On a formed bowl, the latter creates a decorated exterior that becomes part of the piece when it is lifted, carried or turned over.
 
Best suited for
Large serving bowls, shallow platters, centrepiece dishes and generous Christmas serving ware.
 
At 370 mm, the same tool can produce very different finished forms depending on how you choose to form the clay.

Best used on soft clay.
A dark residue may transfer to clay during the first few uses. This is a result of the laser engraving process and will burn out completely during firing.
Clean with mild soap and a soft brush. Allow to dry fully before storing flat.
