One nested set, with several ways to use it.
 
The Holly & Baubles Nested Dinnerware Set combines two sizes of trailing holly rim with a clever reversible centre, allowing the same set of tools to create several different pieces of functional tableware.
 
Use the 205 mm centre texture-side up to make a side or dessert plate. Give the same piece more depth and it becomes a cereal or dessert bowl.
 
For the larger form, simply flip the 205 mm centre over. Its plain reverse becomes the undecorated centre of the larger piece, while the separate outer section adds the more generous holly border.
 
The complete 320 mm form can then be made as a dinner plate or formed more deeply as a wide-rimmed pasta or salad bowl.
Both sizes leave the central eating surface undecorated, with holly and berries weaving around the rim.
 
Best suited for:
205 mm: side plates, dessert plates, cereal bowls and dessert bowls.
320 mm: dinner plates, generous dinnerware, pasta bowls and wide-rimmed salad bowls.
 
Dimensions are the tool sizes before clay shrinkage, so finished dimensions will vary according to your clay body and firing.
 
Why potters love it:
Rather than needing a separate full tool for every piece, the nested construction allows the 205 mm centre to do two jobs.
Use its textured face when making the smaller form, then turn it over to provide the plain centre when making the larger one.
The two holly borders have also been drawn for their individual scales rather than simply enlarged or reduced, so they coordinate while retaining the right amount of detail for each form.

Laser-engraved EVA foam.
 
Best used on soft clay.
A dark residue may transfer to clay during the first few uses. This is a result of the laser engraving process and will burn out completely during firing.
Clean with mild soap and a soft brush. Allow to dry fully before storing flat.
