A composition-led texture design created for making a coordinated handmade serving platter within the Iris Collection.
The Iris Collection Platter extends the botanical surface language of the table setting set into a larger serving format, allowing potters to create cohesive tableware collections that move beyond individual plates and bowls into shared serving pieces.
The composition has been intentionally arranged to suit a platter form, with flowing botanical detail that gives the finished piece a resolved, authored feel while still leaving room for individual cropping, shaping, glazing, and studio interpretation.
Designed as part of the Studio Collections range, this texture works beautifully alongside the Iris Collection Table Setting, or as a standalone feature surface for serving ware, centrepieces, and larger slab-built forms.
Suitable for slab-built platters, serving dishes, layered glazing, oxide washes, and functional ceramics intended to sit within a cohesive collection.
